PvE runes not unlocking in PvP - Guild Wars Forums

I've been away for awhile so maybe this was scrapped.

Anyways, I started a PvE ranger and played for a little bit. I bought some ranger runes. When I went to create my pvp character, the runes weren't there. What's up? Is this a bug or did they change this?

buying Runes from the trader does not unlock them, you need to identify them from dropped armor etc.

buying is not the same as finding. you need to have ID'd the runes yourself to unlock them.

Buying runes does not unlock them for PvE...you have to identify them off of armors that you get from monsters
